“Don’t sleep on Palatine”
November 19, 2015
1996 was the last time the Palatine Pirates made it to the semifinals for football.
On Saturday, Nov. 21 the Pirates will face Loyola Academy at 5 pm. The game will be played at Chic Anderson Field, where Palatine recently defeated Brother Rice 28-24.
2015, the Pirates are making an unforgettable run to the semifinals. Projected to finish fourth in the Mid-Suburban League Conference, the Pirates are now the top four in the state. The football boys are putting an emphasis on the statement “don’t sleep on Palatine,” with this journey. Against Brother Rise, they rallied down from 17-0 to win the game, scoring mostly in the fourth quarter.
Many can see the all around team effort every player brings to the Pirates. Every single player brings a special impact to the game. Offensively and defensively the pirates are well rounded to succeed. Come support the boys, as this might be one of the biggest games in school history!
Student tickets are now half price thanks to a donation made by a staff member. The theme is black out. Hope to see everyone there!
