In only the second meet of the season, the Pirates came out victorious, crushing Elk Grove by winning all three games on each level.

It was a good confidence boost after a loss to Prospect earlier in the week. Each level pushed far ahead of Elk Grove from the very beginning, with JV winning by over 100 pins each game and varsity in the third game beating Elk Grove by almost 230 pins.

“Everybody has been doing really well this season, and it is only the second meet.” Junior Molly Seidel said. “I can only hope that it will continue because I’m really happy with how everyone is doing, especially today.”

Expectations are high for the future as they go on to faces even harder teams later in the season.

“As a team we need to continue to work together and be better at our spare shooting.” Head coach John Burke said. “I thought we had a lot of positive things happen as a team. We bowled pretty consistent, but there’s still room for improvement.”

Students are encouraged to see this great action by coming to Arlington Lanes on Dundee, just before Walker Brothers and Portillo’s every Monday and Wednesday after school.
