“My experience with art began with drawing. I would doodle all over my notebook. Then, I joined art club my sophomore year in high school which is where I met Miss. Lange, the 3D Design teacher. She’s the one that encouraged me to take her class. I loved it my first year especially because there are so many opportunities to show off your work. In fact, my teapot got into an art gallery in Chicago.

Ceramics is relaxing; I forget about all my other classes and just focus on what I’m doing in the moment. However, it is still challenging. You have to learn how to manipulate the clay and problem solve. At the end of the day, the final result is worth all the hard work though.”
