Drew Brown, Reporter
Drew is a senior at Palatine High School. He plays the bass and guitar. He likes blues, rock, and alternative music very much. He is very passionate about music. What interests him about journalism is the “people” aspect of it- he loves getting to hear different sides of the story. He considers himself a self-starter because if he wants to do something, he will just do it. He thinks being independent means that you can accomplish things without the help of others and one doesn’t need to have someone by their side all the time. His greatest strength academically is that he can find creative ways to solve problems. When he is not in school he likes to play guitar and bass, and hang out with friends. His role model is Gary Clark Jr., a blues musician who grew up in Texas playing in bars in high school, until he was able to tour on his own. Drew thinks this would be an amazing experience, and looks up to him because he realizes how much effort it would take.
