Lauren Richards is a sophomore at Palatine High School. She is involved in Varsity Poms for the fall season and competitive dance for the winter season. She feels very motivated when she’s interested in what she is learning and when she is learning new things. Lauren’s greatest strength academically is English, because she can express her love for reading and writing. On the other hand, her greatest academic weakness is math because of how much practice it takes and how little time teachers give her to practice. When asked if she would rather just get something done, or with the intent of doing it well, she explains that she would rather intend on doing it well because it makes her feel better about the work she put in. She defines the term “quality” as having a lot of thought and effort put into it, as well as done with good intentions.
