"We take wrestlers and we maximize their potential. Many wrestlers start wrestling in 9th grade and by the time they are seniors, they are able to compete with their peers," varsity wrestling coach Mr. Rivera said. "Many in the area started wrestling when they were 7, 8 or 9 years old. In addition, what I am proud the most is many Palatine wrestlers like to give back to the program even after they leave. They maintain close connection online. When I ask for donations, many former wrestlers donate money to the program. They are very supportive and have a really good positive experience. Many continue coaching as club coaches or as high school coaches themselves."

“One thing I'm proud of? You know, this year is kind of a work and progress with this group. If kids want to come back and play next year, that’s a big point for me. In the years that I’ve been coaching here, I coach the B level, so not as skilled as the A level,” freshman basketball coach Mr. Lane said. “A big point of prize for me is that if kids want to come back and play next year that’s a sign that hopefully they’ve enjoyed the game. Hopefully they have enjoyed being a player for me, hopefully they’ve learned something along the way.”
