Michael Mejia is a senior at Palatine High School. When he comes home from school and isn’t working on schoolwork, he spends his time drawing and painting Aztec patterns and scenery. He used to play the trumpet but lost interest after 4 years. He also played the tuba for 2 years. His favorite book is Ember, a dystopian novel about an underground city. Mejia was captivated by the unique plot and would recommend the book to anyone who loves thrillers. Mejia loves to write and is looking forward to Journalism this semester.
