Jake Hayes, Reporter
Jake Hayes is a senior at Palatine High School. He is first and foremost a hockey player and is very passionate about both the sport and his team. This is made evident by his dedication to hard work and in his ability to focus on his goals. Not only is he devoted to the sport, but intent on becoming better at it. His participation in late night practices ( they range from one to four hours long) shows how willing he is to work toward his goal. Jake finds inspiration from not only himself, but his family, friends, and professional hockey players like Marian Hossa as well. This passionate interest in athletics leads him to believe that sports journalism may be the career for him.
