Roars from the Palatine High School pool bleachers soar across the room as swimmers compete to finish the 200 yard relay in record time against Hoffman Estates High School on Friday night. Only having swam a minute and 38 seconds, the team of Kris Szulc, Matt Stepp, Shion Takashima and Cayden Hilgers sets a new record for the pool on senior night.

Six senior swimmers were recognized from PHS on January 27 during their swim meet. Posters created by senior swim captain Matt Stepp hung around the pool depicting where the seniors will go after high school. Overall, the team was able to secure many top places against the Hawks as swimmers and divers.

The Pirates compete next at Fremd on Feb. 11 for their conference swim meet with diving at 9 am and swimming at 1 pm.
