Jermyia Williams, Reporter
Jermyia Williams is a 10th grade student here at Palatine Highschool. She is passionately involved in badminton, a sport she is newly playing this year. Williams is also very passionate about writing, specifically story writing. When asked about this passion and where she sees herself in 10 years, she says “I have this dream that one day I can be a movie producer, and turn the stories I write into film.” Williams plans to achieve these goals by staying motivated. “ I am very motivated by my writing, it keeps me going” she said, when asked what motivates her.
Music is another topic that she was very passionately opinionated about. Williams loves old school R&b, a genre her parents raised her on. However, country music was not a part of her upbringing, and she's very glad it wasn't because of her disgust with the beats and song topics. Finally, Williams was asked what her definition of independence was. “I think being independent is making your own choices and being well put together without anyone else's opinions getting in the way.”
