Despite facing a big loss against a tough opponent in only their second water polo match, the Palatine team showed determination and persistence as they battled back in the 4th period. Junior Tessa Faltinek says, “It’s a new group of girls, but we’ve already had a lot of development this season, so we’re excited to see how the rest of the year goes”.

Claire Mitchem is a junior at Palatine High School. Along with being a Cutlass reporter, she plays tennis in the fall, basketball in the winter, and softball in the spring for Palatine. She is also involved in a variety of clubs, including Best Buddies, Special Olympics, Junior Class Club (where she serves as a board member), FBLA, and Morgan’s Message, where she is an ambassador. She has a passion for music, sports, and traveling. Outside of school, Claire enjoys spending time with her family and hanging out with friends.
