The 27th season of “Big Brother” came to an end on Sep. 28th this year, and a lot has happened this season in Hotel Mystere.
Big Brother is a show where 10 to 17 contestants who live in a house together. Each week all of the remaining contestants except the Head Of Household and nominees will vote for which one of the Head Of Households nominees they want to see get evicted from the house. The contestant with the most votes gets evicted.
Each season, each house has a different theme. The theme for this season was “Hotel Mystere”, and holds a bunch of mysteries. One of the mysteries was the masked mastermind who has been causing a bunch of mayhem.
For example, the mastermind kidnapped the show’s host Julie Chen, had an accomplice working for him as an undercover houseguest, and added a competition at the White Locust hotel where the contestant who loses gets eliminated from the season.
At the end, there were three masterminds who were all in past Big Brother seasons. They were Eric Stein from season 8; Jessie Godderz from season 10 and 11; and Frankie Grande, who was from season 16 and Reindeer Games.
There was also another role, which was an accomplice who was undercover as a houseguest. Their job was to complete tasks that the mastermind gave them. For example, turning off the lights, and activating the entrance for the mystery houseguest, which will be covered soon. The accomplice was revealed to be Amy Bingham.
The houseguests were given the chance to guess who the accomplice was, and if majority guessed it correctly, then the accomplice would have to leave the house, and not be an official houseguest. If they didn’t guess it correctly, then the accomplice would stay in the house, and the accomplice would be revealed to the houseguests on finale night.
Now as said earlier, there was a mystery houseguest this season. The mystery houseguest was a contestant from a past season, who won that season. It was none other than season 13 winner, Rachel Reilly! However, she did not win the season though.
Finally, just like every season there was a winner. The winner was Ashley Hollis! She is an attorney from Chicago, and currently lives in New York City. On the show, Hollis had quite a journey. She started from being on the block week 1, and the was the Hoh’s target that week. The other houseguests were also annoyed with her for the situation know as “Showergate”, where she took a 30 minute shower, but the houseguests thought she took a 2 hour shower since she was gone for a while. She was able to survive the week by winning the golden power of veto, so she took herself off the block.
